Five years ago I established TORINO DESIGN to find new solutions to new demands. Now we can boast
of over 100 exterior and interior design projects for production cars for leading OEMs around the globe.
Our initial philosophy - focusing on quality over quantity - still guides us today and is even more relevant in a business environment where any wastage is to be avoided.
Foundation philosophy
Torino Design, a company providing car and product design services, is founded by Roberto Piatti in March 2006 with the aim of bringing together a task force of very experienced and talented professionals to provide the same quality level of the most famous design houses at more competitive prices. The number of employees is not decided by chance, it is determined by the need of a critical mass for each area within the company to ensure credibility for the firm and control over the project. The idea is to propose a new business model that defends the design capabilities of Turin and restores the city's competitive edge in an increasingly cutthroat global context. The name – so simple as to seem almost facile – is chosen to emphasise the concept of Turin design, which is so well recognised around the world that it is effectively a brand in its own right.
The Company today
To certify the quality and the reputation achieved, TORINO DESIGN has now as background over 100 design researches and 88 full-scale models developed in only 5 years. TORINO DESIGN today is made of 50 highly experienced specialists in styling, 3D surface modelling, feasibility engineering and full-scale modelling.
